What are Stock and Custom Recoveries?

Android OS are based mainly on Two types of ROMs

Stock ROMs
Custom ROMs

The one Which is installed in the Phone at the time when it is purchased the Company's Installed Genuine OS on Phone is based on Stock ROMS

While apart from this, If we Install Anyone Other version of OS on Phone through Recovery all those OS are based on Custom ROMS
